JV Season Complete/Tourney Reminders

The JV team finished their season with 2 impressive games.  Wednesday night was a fantastic game with an exciting comeback finish.  Tonight we came up a little short but the boys played well.  It was an honor and privilege to work with these boys this year.  They definitely improved throughout the season and I hope they will continue to play the game.  They are all great ball players.

Now that the JV season is over, I will need the boys to return their pants and 2 jerseys WASHED and the belt and in a bag with their name on it.  They may keep the socks and hat.  Please get these turned in ASAP. 

A reminder that the Varsity tournament starts Saturday morning with our first game at 10am.  The boys should be there by 9am for warmups.  White Jerseys.  All 8th grade JV players are welcome to dress out for the game as well.

Please come out and support the Mustangs this weekend!!

JV game added THURSDAY (May 1)

We DO now have a JV game scheduled for Thursday at 5pm against the Bobcats.  This game will be at Pitts Park (see link below for directions).  The boys need to be there by 4:15pm in Purple Jerseys.  No bus.  This again includes all players in town (V or JV). 

By the way....there is a chance that due to the rain, our home game tomorrow (Wed.) may get bumped for HS makeup or field conditions.  Just be watching email as always.

But for now.....Games Wed. at home 5:15pm, Thurs. at Pitts Park 5pm.

LAMS Baseball (week of Apr. 28-May 3)

This is the last week of LAMS Baseball.  I realize the timing of the 8th grade trip isn't ideal, but it was unavoidable.  Here is our schedule for the week as I know it now.  Things could change as far as times and weather conditions:

Monday - OFF

Tuesday - OFF

Wednesday - JV game at HOME at 5:15pm vs Bellevue.  White Jerseys.  All players in town (JV OR V) should be at this game ready to play.  Practice before starting by 4pm.

Thursday - Slight possibility of JV game.....stay tuned.

Friday - OFF

Saturday - Varsity Tournament begins.  White Jerseys.  All 8th graders invited to dress out.  Bracket is attached once again.  Our first game in at 10am at Lipscomb.  Please be there by 9am for warmups.  WHEN we win, we will then play at 2pm at Lipscomb so the boys will have time for a quick lunch break.  (The loser of that first game plays at 4pm at Lipscomb).

JV Gets The Win!!

Congrats to the JV team on their win over Grassland.  9-7!!

JV GAME ADDED THIS THURSDAY (4/24)

As some of you may have heard, we have added a JV game vs Grassland at Grassland THIS THURSDAY at 3:45pm.  Purple jerseys.  I have asked for the boys to be out by 2:40pm and will let you know if I get approval.  Unfortunately, the bus will not be available so we are going to need several parents to carpool and get them there as soon as possible. 

Let me know if there are any conflicts.

JV Game Tuesday - UPDATE

I have just heard from Grassland that there will only be one game tomorrow night (Tuesday).  It will begin between 5:30-6pm and will be a full length game. 

We are trying to secure another JV game, possibly next week, but if that doesn't work out, tomorrow's game will be the last game for our JV team. 

As we did last year, we will invite all 8th grade JV players to dress out for the tournament starting May 3.  They can continue to practice with the team as well. 

We will keep you posted on any future JV games if they work out.

LAMS Baseball this week - (April 21-27)

Here is this week's schedule:

Monday - Varsity practice at LAHS field from 3:30-4:30.  There will be a HS game going on, but players will hit in cage before/during game and practice on Aux. field if possible.  JV GAME at Overton vs Bobcats.  Purple Jerseys.  5pm.  JV should be there by 4:15pm.  No bus.

Tuesday - Varsity practice at LAHS field from 3:30-4:30.  JV doubleheader at Grassland vs Grassland starting at 6pm.  (2 short games) WHITE Jerseys.  JV should be there by 5:15pm.  No bus.  (Times could change on these games....stay tuned for updates)

Wednesday - Varsity game at home vs MTCS.  4pm.  White Jerseys.  JV should come and practice before/during game. 

Thursday - Both teams OFF.

Friday - Varsity game at home vs Bobcats.  5pm.  White jerseys.  Both teams should come down after school and practice until game.

Saturday - OFF

Sunday - Possible afternoon practice.  Stay tuned
